ABOUT OLYA
I came to the U.S. from Ukraine in 2004, bringing with me a passion for beauty and a background in makeup. After earning my California cosmetology license, I moved to Los Angeles in 2008 to pursue my dream career — and have been building it ever since.
My career began in a small La Cienega salon, where I built trust one haircut at a time, long before social media. Soon after, I joined a Beverly Hills salon on Brighton Way, where I had the opportunity to work with international clients, celebrities, and industry professionals.
In 2011, I became certified in Great Lengths extensions — the start of my love affair with luxury extensions. Over the years I’ve continued advanced training, including European nano bond techniques, while also mastering lived-in color, blondes, and precision cutting.
I’ve worked at some of LA’s most prestigious salons, including Ramirez Tran, and in 2020 I opened my own studio “Hair by Olya” near Rodeo Drive. Four years later, I co-founded Olya x Andrea Salon, a boutique, family-style luxury space in the heart of Beverly Hills, where I now lead a talented team of artists specializing in extensions, color, keratin treatments, makeup, and brows.
What I Love About My Work
For me, hairstyling is more than just beauty — it’s about transformation and connection.
Seeing a client light up when they see their new look is pure joy.
My chair is a space for laughter, therapy, and genuine connection.
I love working alongside my team, creating artistry while keeping the salon fun, warm, and welcoming.
Clients often tell me it feels like “magic” how quickly and seamlessly I can transform their look.
Beyond the Salon
When I’m not creating hair transformations, I’m spending time with my son, skiing in the winter, practicing Pilates, hiking, or traveling. I also love exploring wellness, cooking, photography, and even spiritual studies like astrology and tarot — all of which keep me inspired and connected to creativity in and out of the salon.
